The Gladiator Arenas are side Activities found in Assassin's Creed: Origins.

Introduction[edit | edit source]

Currently, there are two Gladiator Arenas in the game. Each of them offers four events for completion, as well as an Elite difficulty for each of them. This makes for a total of eight different events.

Each event comes with different enemies to fight. Additionally, players will be given specific weapons for each fight.

Completing each event will reward players with experience. Legendary gear is rewarded upon defeating a Gladiator Arena Boss.

In order to complete an event, players must kill all enemies that they face during said event.

Krokodilopolis[edit | edit source]

The Gladiator Arena in Krokodilopolis is the first one players will have access to. There are two bosses that players may face there - The Brothers and The Slaver.

The Brothers events become available once the arena is unlocked. The Slaver events are unlocked by defeating The Brothers.

Boss Fight Tips[edit | edit source]

Viridovix and Diovicos are not easy to fight at the same time. They will use their special attacks to team up on Bayek, making for devastating combos. Players must do their best to separate the two brothers and fight them one at a time.

When they are together, it is recommended to dodge their attacks until an opportunity to separate them appears. Also, when one of them attacks, dodge out of the way and attack afterwards. Trying to take either of the bosses head on will result in a lot of damage done to Bayek.

Boss: The Slaver Heavy Blade and Shield A furious giant with a massive weapon, the Slaver is a man mountain of angry mindless brawn. Spiked Pillars L30 Boss (Slaver)

Boss Fight Tips[edit | edit source]

When fighting the Slaver, players will notice that his attacks hit hard, but are fairly slow. Whenever the Slaver goes in for a strike, make sure to evade it and get a hit or two in before he goes for the next one.

If he starts spinning, this means he is preparing for a combo. Be ready to dodge several times in a row before being able to attack him.

Try not to stay close to the Slaver for too long. He can grab Bayek and toss him forward. This could prove devastating if the toss is towards a Spike Pillar. Also, if the Boss manages to knock Bayek down, he will try to stab him while he is on the ground. If this happens, be ready to dodge out of the way.

Whenever you need to take a breather, try to put a Spike Pillar between Bayek and the Slaver. Keep in mind, however, that the boss can destroy the trap and clear the way forward.

Cyrene[edit | edit source]

Once both Bosses in the Krokodilopolis arena are completed, players will receive a quest to go to the Cyrene arena. Reaching the final objective of that quest will unlock the arena.

Boss Fight Tips[edit | edit source]

The Raging Hammer is huge and powerful, but also slow. Whenever he is about to attack, simple dodge his strikes. When he starts swinging his hammer at the ground, you will have a chance to go in for a combo after the second hit lands on the ground.

When he starts charging your way, he will either stab with the handle of his massive weapon or he will try to slap you. Either way, you can simply backtrack and dodge out of the way.

Boss: The Axes Regular Sword and Shield A sadistic psychopath who favors twin axes for the sheer bloody carnage they cause. N/A L33 Boss (The Axes)

Boss Fight Tips[edit | edit source]

There aren't many spots players can use to hide from this Boss's devastating attacks. Dodging and sidestepping are the best ways to avoid getting shredded.

This Boss is rather quick, so players must always be on their toes. When fighting him close range, he might grab Bayek, perform three headbutts, and toss him to the ground.

When he swings to his left, this means that he will go in for a jump attack. Move back to avoid his strike, then attack when he lands. His other jump attack is performed when he crosses his axes and jumps towards the player. Quickly sidestep out of the way, then attack his side.

If he raises his axes, be ready to dodge a vicious combo of attacks. Stay out of reach until his combo is over. Otherwise, you might lose a huge portion of your health.

Boss: The Hoplite Heavy Blunt Weapon and Shield A highly trained, battle-hardened Greek soldier who uses his shield as well as he wields his spear. N/A L35 Boss (The Hoplite)

Boss Fight Tips[edit | edit source]

The Hoplite will employ two weapons - a spear and a sword. He is equally dangerous with both and he will switch between them whenever he wishes. However, if he decides to switch from a sword to a spear, he will run to the weapon racks around the arena for one. He can also attack with his shield, so be careful when trying to approach on his left.

When he wields the spear, he uses fast and far-reaching attacks. Be ready to sidestep or otherwise dodge such strikes.

When he has a sword in hand, he will employ leaping attacks or combos. Be mindful of them and try to move behind him when he does, so you can get a hit in.

While fighting the Hoplite, you will be using a relatively slow weapon. Keep this in mind and do not get greedy. Getting a hit or two in are more than enough. If you try for more, you will be punished by the Boss.

Boss: The Seleucid Long Spear and Shield A Greek soldier dedicated to the art of systematically dismantling opponents with his long military pike. Fire Traps L36 Boss (The Seleucid)

Boss Fight Tips[edit | edit source]

This Boss employs a very long pike and leap attacks. This grants him significant reach.

During the fight, when the Boss drops to three-quarters of his health, he will light the outside fire traps. When he's left with half his health, he will ignite the ones in the middle too and set the tip of his pike on fire. This means that the danger of being set ablaze by this Boss is very real and players should do their best to avoid it.

Keep in mind that he will switch up his attacks when his health drops to three-quarters and one-half. Be ready to dodge a new set of moves at these points in the fight.

Boss: The Duelist Regular Sword and Shield A disciplined and flawless swordsmith whose skill with her single blade approaches an art form, if art could kill. N/A L38 Boss (The Duelist)

Boss Fight Tips[edit | edit source]

The Duelist will begin the fight with a single sword. However, once a quarter of her health is gone, she will reveal another blade. This will significantly increase her reach.

Once a half of her health is gone, she will apply poison to her swords. If you are hit with the poisonous blades, you will lose your ability to regenerate health.

The six pillars scattered around the arena are not adequate cover. Instead, keep moving if you need to regenerate health. Trying to hide behind the pillars if you are not perfectly aligned with them and the duelist will result in you getting hit. Also, keep in mind that The Duelist can use the pillars and the arena walls to jump off them and get behind you.

The Duelist can knock you down to the ground in two ways. If you are too close to her, she can throw you over her back. Otherwise, she might try to slide between your legs and take you down from there. Either attack can be devastating if successful because she will follow up with a stab while Bayek is knocked down.

Mobility is king in this fight. The Duelist is easily the most nimble of the arena bosses and she will use that as much as possible. Try to do the same and do not stop moving.
