Description[edit | edit source]
Lucius Septimus is a Roman Tribune, member of the Gabiniani faction of Roman Soldiers, permanently stationed in Alexandria.
He first arrived in Egypt in 55 BC with General Aulus Gabinius, with the mission to protect Ptolemy XII. When he first visited Alexandria, he immediately fell in love with the city and Nebetia, a local woman he later married. He also found himself among some men of significant power in the area - Pothinus, Achillas, and Ganymedes. When Ptolemy XII died, Lucius Septimus was promoted to the inner circle of the late king's advisors - Pothinus, Ganymedes, and Theodotus. Under their orders, he killed Pompey when he arrived in Pelusium, which started the Battle of Alexandria.
Lucius Septimus is suspicious of everyone. He believes that someone is always out to get him, therefore he is rarely at ease. His paranoia has led him to believe that some of his allies are, in fact, traitors. He is only calm around people he knows for sure are not his enemies.
